Before I list all the deep questions to ask your boyfriend, girlfriend or anyone you want to get to know, I wanted to illustrate why this is so effective in helping bring people closer together.
In one study published in Journal of Social and Personal Relationships, self-disclosure was positively related to perceived closeness by romantic involvement (Collins & Miller, 1994). In another study published in the same journal, asking and answering personal questions led to an increased sense of intimacy and closeness with both loved ones as well as non-romantic relationships (Aron et al., 1997).
Another study in the Journal of Experimental Psychology showed that simply asking questions and demonstrating interest increases feelings of liking (Aron et al, 2004).
Asking the deep questions are great to make a relationship better and stronger emotionally, it also helps increase attraction when done right as well.
